In the silence of the spaces between my thoughts, I find my sanctuary. I find my God. I find myself.

Beloved, in this special time that we create for quiet meditation, go within. Gently close your outer eyes and relax in this moment. Set aside any worries or cares that may have followed you to this place. They will be there when you return. Allow your body to be supported by your chair and let go of any feelings of tension or urgency. God is in control and all is well.

Breathe deeply now in the knowledge of the near ness of God. Trust completely in your process and ability to connect and know God in this moment.

Oh God of our Being, we know that peace is not just the absence of violence or war. Peace is a state of Being….of experiencing your Grace….of seeing God in the center of our awareness regardless of what the circumstances are. We touch now that place inside of ourselves that is only peace. This unconditional space is always there in its perfection and wholeness. Our inner access to the Good of God, to the Power of God, to the Presence of God. In this moment, we find our peace. We rest in our peace. We are Peace.

Silence

Coming back more fully, we say a prayer for peace …..a thought of peace for our families, our church, our community, our country and our world. We see in our mind’s eye the faces and into the hearts of those very different from ourselves. The Christ spirit is in them and in us. We reach out a network of prayer and light for peace. For a sense of safety and security for all people…. A quiet and hopeful heart for every young person who looks out over their lives and wonders where the world will take them. And peace in the hearts of everyone facing their last numbered breaths on this plane of existence. May every person of every persuasion see the promise of peace and the God of Peace active in their lives. We send this powerful prayer into the Universe knowing it comes back celebrated, blessed and multiplied by the Spirit of our Living God.
